FERMAN AKGÜL ANNOUNCES FIRST EUROPEAN SOLO TOUR — INTRODUCING A NEW INTERNATIONAL MUSICAL CHAPTER WITH OUTROVERT
Ferman Akgül — internationally recognized as the frontman of maNga, one of Turkey’s most successful and internationally acclaimed rock bands — rose to worldwide prominence after maNga won the “Best European Act” award at the MTV Europe Music Awards and achieved 2nd place at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo with We Could Be the Same. Over the years, maNga became the first Turkish band to perform at the Sziget Festival in Budapest, entered MTV UK rotation with Fly to Stay Alive, appeared on Billboard charts in the United States, and built a devoted audience across Europe and beyond.
Now, after more than two decades of international touring and genre-defying musical experimentation, Ferman Akgül is preparing to embark on his first-ever European solo tour.
Known for pioneering a unique blend of alternative rock, electronic music, rap, and Anatolian influences, Ferman Akgül has spent years developing a distinctive artistic identity that combines emotional intensity, cinematic atmosphere, and socially conscious storytelling.
The tour will include performances in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Germany, Denmark, and Norway, marking the beginning of a new artistic era that combines Ferman’s signature sound with a more intimate, experimental, and cross-cultural live experience.
The first concert of the tour took place on August 9 in Oslo, as part of a festival organized by the Stamhuset Foundation. The festival focused on bringing young people together through music aimed at keeping youth away from violence and social exclusion.
This opening concert served as the official live introduction of Outrovert — a newly formed international fusion band created by Ferman Akgül together with Kristian Riis of the legendary Danish band Nephew also with Mathias Bertelsen and Mathias Riis
During the Hamburg performance, Outrovert will appear as a special guest act, presenting its music to Germany for the very first time.
