Stockholm’s premier purveyors of sonic devastation, God Mother, have officially announced their third full-length album, Köttvärld (translated: Meat World), scheduled for release September 25.

Following up on the chaotic mental landscapes of their previous EP Sinneseld, Köttvärld forcefully breaks out into „meat space.“ The album delivers a visceral exploration of identity, purpose, and the deconstruction of the self in an increasingly digital world—one that engineers the attention of a Stone Age mind to push AI agendas and exploit the many for the benefit of the few. Köttvärld stands as the antithesis of viewing humans as mere resources, instead reclaiming the self and committing to the raw power of a being fueled by emotion, sense, and nerve.

Musically, the album expands into a wider spectrum of sounds without sacrificing God Mother’s signature abrasive, fast-paced intensity. Listeners can expect a deeper dive into grindcore, punk, sludge, and death metal.

God Mother will hit the road for a comprehensive regional co-headlining tour with Obstruktion from October 7 to October 18 (full routing to be announced next month). The cycle will culminate in a massive hometown album release show in Stockholm on November 7.
